Fergie tweets 'lovely baby bump'

Los Angeles - Fergie is pregnant.

The Black Eyed Peas singer - whose real name is Stacy Ferguson - has revealed she and her actor husband Josh Duhamel are expecting their first child.

Fergie tweeted: "Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!!! #mylovelybabybump (sic)"

The 37-year-old singer recently joked she and her hunky 40-year-old spouse were enjoying trying for a baby.

She said: "We'll be happy when it happens. It's not really in our hands but trying is great for our relationship."

Last year following the death of the couple's beloved rescue dog, Meatloaf, from a brain disorder, Josh revealed they were planning to start a family rather than replace the pooch.

Shaken up

He said: "I think we're going to focus on our human baby first. Hopefully we'll have kids and then at some point we'll get another dog.

"I don't know how to describe it, but anyone who would come over, they all went to Meatloaf.

"He was just so fucking adorable. He was a really, really soulful smart little dog. I never thought I'd be as shaken up as I was when he was gone."

Fergie's Black Eyed Peas bandmate, Apl.de.ap, has previously insisted he wants to be godfather to her first child.

He said: "Fergie's great and it would be amazing if she and Josh had a baby. I would definitely love to be godfather. It'll be one cool baby and she's such a cool lady."
