Los Angeles - Jamie Dornan isn't afraid of the sex scenes in Fifty Shades of Grey.
The Fall actor - who is replacing Charlie Hunnam for the role of sadomasochistic billionaire Christian Grey - wasn't "shocked" by the raunchy scenes which he will have to tackle with co-star Dakota Johnson - who has been cast as love his love interest, Anastasia Steele - in the adaptation of EL James' bestselling trilogy.
He told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "I'm a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I'm not saying we had a playroom, but I'm not shocked [by the sex in the book]. It's essential to tell the story. I can't believe films that don't invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me."
Quizzed on how he felt when he was told he landed the part, he added: "There was a slight fear. But beyond anything else, I was really fucking excited."
Meanwhile Dakota is concerned about her appearance when she strips down for the sex scenes and wants to make sure the camera captures her best angles.
She added: "Obviously, I want to look good naked. I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of fucking feels awesome."
