Johannesburg - Reeva Steenkamp started her relationship with Oscar Pistorius merely three days after she broke up with rugby player Francois Hougaard, reports Beeld.
A source revealed to the daily newspaper that Reeva was dating Francois on-again, off-again from October 2012 to January 2013 and was seen on the arm of Oscar at the South African Sport Awards only two weeks after attending a wedding with Francois.
"Francois and Reeva made a cute couple at the wedding. I talked to Reeva and she said Francois was a real nice guy, but said that they were taking things slow," a friend who attended the wedding revealed.
Pistorius, who is facing a charge of premeditated murder after a shooting incident at his luxury Silver Lakes home on Valentine’s Day in which Reeva died, tweeted a photo in December in which he said he was enjoying the sun and Reeva's company.
Francois and Reeva were still spending time together and according to the source he was aware of Reeva's friendship with Oscar.
Lorinda Voges, Francois' spokesperson, said her client wishes not to comment on his relationship with either Reeva or Oscar. Francois also denied rumours that he had been called as a witness in the case against Oscar.
