Barcelona - Shakira's boyfriend Gerard Piqué has revealed the first picture of their son.
The 25-year-old soccer star - who plays for Spanish team FC Barcelona - posted a snap of newborn Milan Piqué Mebarak's feet, adorned in his very own designer soccer shoes on Twitter on Wednesday evening.
The proud father is clearly hoping Milan, who was born on Tuesday, will follow in his footsteps, wearing trendy white Nike trainers personalised with his name.
Posting the picture to his Twitter page, he captioned it: "Milan's feet!"
Gerard and the Hips Don't Lie singer Shakira, 35, welcomed their son into the world in Barcelona, Spain.
'Excellent health'
They announced the birth via a statement on her website, which read: "We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 22nd at 9:36pm, in Barcelona, Spain.
"Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth."
The newborn and his mother are said to be in "excellent health".
The announcement continued: "The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification."
