Gossip magazine apologises to actress for false pregnancy rumours

Los Angeles - Us Weekly reported that Neve Campbell was expecting her second child early on Wednesday morning but found the information to be false.

The gossip magazine obtained the false information from a source who was apparently "close to the couple" and had to resort to an online apology due to the mistake.

The 40-year-old star - who also appeared in the television series, Party of Five - is notoriously private about her personal life. She has a 2-year-old son named Caspian with Captain America actor and boyfriend JJ Feild and has previously spoken about her decision to name her son Caspian.

She spoke on The Talk in December 2012 about giving her son such a unique name. She shared: "We looked through a lot of books and I liked the idea of an unique name. I like having a unique name - it's my mum's maiden name, Neve - and not a lot of people have it.

"It's nice having something special and different and so I wanted something like that for our son."

Neve and JJ first started dating in 2011, following the actress' divorce from Canadian actor Jeff Colt in 2010.
