Gwyneth Paltrow spotted holding hands with 'hot young guy'

New York - Gwyneth Paltrow was seen on a date with a "hot young guy" on Tuesday.

The 41-year-old actress - who separated from Chris Martin in March after 10 years of marriage - appeared close to the mystery man, who was described as having "dirty blond" hair, at New York restaurant Narcissa.

An onlooker told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "He had curly, shaggy hair and looked like he was in his 30s. I think they may have been holding hands."

News of Gwyneth's date comes shortly after it was claimed she and her estranged husband - who have children Apple, 10, and Moses, eight, together - were growing increasingly close.

Last week, they further fuelled speculation they are getting back together after they were seen dining together with their kids numerous times in the Hamptons.

A source said: "They were operating like a couple, and with the kids looked like a happy family."

And it was recently claimed the former couple - who are still living together - had grown closer after the ''pressure'' to try and save their marriage eased.

A source said: "They haven't made any concrete decision to get back together, but it's a possibility. They're discovering a dynamic that works for them all over again, like when they first got together. They're getting along really well.

"They've loving time together with and without the kids. She didn't want to end the marriage. He's been a great father, and that has helped keep the flame alive. They love each other, and if the romance comes back, they'll go with it if it feels right."
