Harry Styles wins over Bruce Jenner with the help of golf

Los Angeles - Harry Styles has won over his rumoured girlfriend's father, Bruce Jenner, with the help of golf.

The One Direction hunk - who was introduced to Kendall Jenner by their managers in November - "charmed" the former Olympic champion when they met at Bruce's Malibu beach house by discussing the sport.

Although Harry and Kendall have denied dating they have been getting close in recent months and the singer was spotted leaving Bruce's Californian days after they were seen going for a meal in Hollywood on 25 November 2013.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "When Harry and Bruce met at his Malibu home a couple of weeks ago, Harry charmed his way through the visit by talking about golf. Bruce is very protective when it comes to his daughters."

Bruce recently separated from his wife Kris Jenner with whom he has daughters 18-year-old Kendall and 16-year-old Kylie - who were catapulted to the spotlight on reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians - and understands the pressures of being in a relationship while in the limelight.

The source added: "He's experienced how difficult it's been to have a relationship in the public eye with his estranged wife Kris.

"Harry wasn't in for an easy ride but things couldn't have gone better, all thanks to golf."

Last month, Harry flew into London to see Kendall and was pictured outside Kendall's hotel at 02:20, looking tired as he arrived.

He also took her to Therapy, a gay bar in New York City's Hell's Kitchen area, where an onlooker said: "He was holding Kendall's hand."
