Los Angeles - Heidi Klum's father filmed her giving birth.

The 41-year-old model was so keen to document the births of her three biological children, Lou, five, Henry, nine, and Johan, eight - who she has with her former spouse Seal - that she asked her father Günther to take on the role of cameraman.

She told The Times magazine: "I want to have a film for my kids. If they don't want to see it, we can throw it away.

"I wanted Seal by my side, not busy filming. And I don't want to hire someone I don't know. Like, 'Hey, can you film that?' I had no problem with my dad doing it at all. I'm his kid. He made me! So he can watch my kids being born. To me, that is totally normal."

Meanwhile, Heidi - who is also mother to Leni, ten - says she is desperate not to become a pushy mother and wants her children to lead as normal a life as possible.

She said: 'I don't want to push them towards anything. I want them to do what they want to do, so I'm going to just see what their interests are.

"They play football and do gymnastics and they are about to start with piano again. They have hobbies, but I want them to have a normal childhood."
