Holly Madison shares Kate's illness

Los Angeles - Holly Madison has revealed she has been suffering from severe morning sickness.

The reality TV star - who is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Pasquale Rotella in March - was hospitalised on Monday because she is suffering from a similar illness to Duchess Catherine despite being in the late stages of her pregnancy.

The former The Girls Next Door star told Entertainment Tonight: "When it started happening really late [in my pregnancy] and I was really vomiting a lot during the day, it freaked me out.

"I was told to go to the doctor and get an IV and everything. So, that was kind of scary to me just because it seemed like something so unusual, something that I hadn't read about. But everything's OK so far, so that's good."

Super excited for Kate

The 33-year-old model said she hopes that Duchess Catherine is also on the mend after she was hospitalised with hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness in recent days.

She said: "I wish her the best and I'm glad she's getting the best possible care and I'm super excited for her. I think everybody wants to see [the baby] named Diana if it's a girl. I think that would melt the hearts of the world."

Holly - who previously dated Hugh Hefner, 86, - is hoping the rest of her pregnancy will go more smoothly.

She said: "I'm excited to get through these last months of pregnancy. Hopefully no more scares.

"I was threatened with bed rest. I haven't been given bed rest yet, but they're like, 'You better take it easy and don't lift anything over five pounds.'"
