Los Angeles - Charlize Theron reportedly has "major chemistry" with Luke Grimes.
The Monster actress was seen at a party with the 29-year-old actor - who has been cast in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie - where they reportedly got close.
A source told Life and Style magazine: "She had her hand on his knee at one point. Charlize then seductively led him onto the dance floor and he put his hands around her waist."
The couple were then said to have exchanged numbers at the end of the night.
Luke will play Elliot Grey in the adaptation of erotic thriller Fifty Shades of Grey, opposite Jamie Dornan, who will play lead character, Christian Grey.
Charlize, 38, broke off her engagement to Irish actor Stuart Townsend after nine years together in 2010, and has since been linked to Keanu Reeves. She was also seen having a lunch date with a mystery man in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Charlize is also a mother to son Jackson, who she adopted last year.
Speaking of being a single parent, she has previously said: "You know, I don't think any mother aims to be a single mom.
"I didn't wish for that, but it happened. I always knew I would adopt. Always."
