Is Kim going to name her kid Easton West?

Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian West wants to name her baby boy Easton.

The 34-year-old reality TV star is keen to give her unborn child the unusual moniker when he makes his arrival into the world in December, but she has admitted her husband Kanye West, 38, isn't completely convinced of the forename.

Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said: "I do like the name Easton. Easton West. I don't think my husband likes that name, but I do like it."

However, the brunette beauty is adamant she and the rapper, who already have two-year-old daughter North together, won't name their second child after a direction.

She explained: "I don't think we'll go another direction."

She added: "It's definitely not South, every time someone says South, I just want to roll my eyes."

Meanwhile Kim went on to state her husband never told her he was going to announce his plans to run for President at the MTV Video Music Awards on 30 August.

When asked if she knew about his prepared speech, Kim said: "I did not. That was news to me."

Ellen hit back with surprise: "So he never discussed with you he wanted to run for president one day?"

Kim replied: "That was not a discussion in our household ... I believe he is serious and I know that if he puts his mind to something he will do his best."

The one thing Kim does know is that  Kanye will "redo" the White House if he becomes President of the US.

She joked: "I was thinking about how much fun it would be to be in the White House.

"I was joking with him, I said, 'You will have to make it to a second term.' Because he loves redecorating.

"And I was like, 'You are going to have to redo the whole White House, and we aren't going to be able to enjoy it, so we are just going to have to go with the flow.'"
