Los Angeles - Jennifer Lopez doesn't want a relationship "right now".
The 45-year-old singer - who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony - is enjoying being single and believes it will be beneficial for her to be on her own for a while.
Speaking on the Meredith Vieira Show this past Monday, she said: "I'm just being on my own. I feel like I need that right now. I've been in relationships kind of back-to-back my whole life and I just needed time.
Lopez went on to say, I need time to just chill and just know me and enjoy my kids and actually make time for other friends instead of just the relationship thing.''
The I Luh Ya Papi hitmaker - who split from choreographer Casper Smart in June following two-and-a-half years together - hasn't ruled out finding love again but believes everything will fall into place once she starts to take ''care'' of herself a bit better.
She explained: "All of a sudden, all the relationships in your life and everything starts working when you take care of yourself."
However, Jennifer - who has divorced three times - insists she's only interested in a committed relationship, rather than embark on causal sex with no strings attached.
She said previously: "I like being in a relationship. I'm not one to like whore around and stuff like that - that's not my thing."
