New York - Jewel is expecting a precious gift - a baby.
The pop-country singer is pregnant. Her publicist, Nicole Perez-Krueger, says it will be the first child for Jewel and her husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray.
The 36-year-old singer and Murray were married in 2008.
Jewel's hits include You Were Meant for Me and Hands.
The pregnancy was first reported on Tuesday on People magazine's website.
