Joan Collins leads tributes to Cilla Black

(Los Angeles - Joan Collins has led tributes to Cilla Black who died on Saturday night at the age of 72.

A Spanish police spokesperson confirmed that Cilla - real name Priscilla White - is believed to have died of ''natural causes'', although they are ''still awaiting autopsy results''.

The world's biggest stars have flooded social media shocked with the news of the Surprise Surprise legend's passing.

Joan Collins called her ''good friend Cilla'' a ''resplendent and rare talent''.

The Dynasty actress tweeted: ''I am so sad and shocked by news about my good friend Cilla. She was a resplendent and rare talent. RIP #cillablack (sic)''

US popstar Diana Vickers called her ''the nations biggest sweethearts (sic)'' and said how ''only the other week I was saying it was one of my dreams to meet her''.

She wrote: ''I'm so unbelievably sad to hear the news about the legendary Cilla Black. Only the other week I was saying it was one of my dreams to meet... Her one day. She was such a bundle of joy and one of the nations biggest sweet hearts. So sad. we will miss you Cilla (sic)''

Other tributes included The X Factor host Caroline Flack, who said she was an ''inspiration me growing up''.

She wrote: ''Very sad news about Cilla Black. She was an inspiration to me growing up. x (sic)''

And TV presenter Gabby Logan described her as a ''trailblazer''. 

She posted: ''Cilla Black was the complete entertainer/host in an era when everyone watched TV. She was a trail blazer. RIP Cilla (sic).''
