John Legend hires food trucks for Ferguson protestors

Los Angeles - John Legend and Chrissy Teigen hired food vans to feed demonstrators and the homeless in New York on Sunday.

The All of Me hitmaker and his model wife were reportedly behind the rental of several food trucks which turned up in New York City and gave out hundreds of meals to those who are protesting over the police killings of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, as well as the homeless.

News aggregator Bipartisan Report posted a picture of two of the vans on Twitter

Activism organisation Operation Help or Hush also alerted people to news of the trucks, which included one serving gourmet macaroni cheese and another offering tacos.

The message was later retweeted by Chrissy, 29, although she and John, 35, are yet to accept responsibility for the free food trucks.

Following the generosity, several people took to the social networking site to thank the couple - who tied the knot last year - for their kindness.
