Los Angeles - Jonah Hill is "embarrassed" after being caught taking pictures after a woman gave birth in a park.

The Superbad actor stumbled upon a scene in New York City where the lady was in the middle of child birth.

Jonah couldn't help but record images of the aftermath on his mobile phone and photographed the placenta.

However the star did not realise that he was being pictured himself, by a paparazzo, as the new mother was being loaded into an ambulance.

'Too embarrassed'

He tweeted: "Craziest thing I've ever seen. A woman have birth next to me in a park. I took a picture of the placenta and TMZ caught me. Embarrassing."

According to website, Jonah was too embarrassed to talk to them and made a quick getaway with a female friend, after watching the woman go into labour on a bench.

Jonah Hill is set to star in new comedy Aloha with Ben Stiller.

The actors are currently appearing in The Watch together - which tells the story of a neighbourhood watch group that must defend Earth from an alien invasion - and they are now in talks to reunite on screen again in the Hawaii-set movie.
