Joost and Amor kiss and make up

2012-09-14 11:24
Cape Town - Joost van der Westhuizen on Friday tweeted that he and estranged wife Amor Vittone are "good friends now" after having a long chat.

Former Springbok rugby player Joost took to Twitter on Friday to share his joy:

This comes after Channel24 reported on Thursday that Amor has "had enough" and that she plans to set the record straight in an interview with heat magazine, which will be published on Friday, 14 September.

Joost, who is suffering from the degenerative disorder motor neuron disease, claimed in intimate interviews with Carte Blanche and Huisgenoot that Amor is keeping his kids away from him.

This led to Amor telling Die Burger she plans to file a court order against Joost to stop him from slandering her in the media.

Roses are Red Violets are blue Joost is a schizo Because he sniffs glue As for Amor, she is a woman, so she changes her mind 30 times a day and still doesnt know what she afterwards!

  • roy.wadhams.1 - 2012-09-14 11:58

Both idiots for using the press to lay out their dirty laundering. She got what she deserved when she messed up Joost first marriage and he got what he deserved by messing around while married to Amor. Lets hope we have heard the last of both of them now.

  • Hallo - 2012-09-14 11:58

Well this fills me with so much joy and a whole bunch of WHO GIVES A S**T

  • JohncarlosBiza - 2012-09-14 12:06

Classless pair. They act like teenagers. Learn to shut up about your goddamn private lives!

  • reine.marais - 2012-09-14 12:07

Thank God. Now maybe they will stop airing their dirty linen in public. And actually, I mean it - the thank God part. I hope that with the Grace of Good, the two of them and their children will find the joy and happiness that marriage can bring. And preferably, we don't want to hear about.

It seems that I have just injured myself yawning...

  • charmaine.paterson1 - 2012-09-14 12:24

They have always been rather common. Remember, these people accept sponsored weddings and kiddies parties and invite the media. Not surprising at all.

  • charmain.nel.7 - 2012-09-14 12:28

I uinderstand he wants too see his children but really if he was so intrested why did he not go to court if she kept the kids away as for her she is a real Troll))p UGLY AND THAT NOSE hell I would have had it fixed.I feel for Joost with his illness and hope it gets better, but what u do that is not right will catch up

      childrens.rights.7 - 2012-09-14 21:24

You obviously did not follow their story, Joost did go to court but mothers in this country can do whatever the hell they want to because the fathers are only sperm donors and the kids are the mother's possession to do what they want to.

      charles.stjthomson - 2012-09-15 17:23

Where's your picture, Dyecha? Afraid we won't like your nose and think you're ugly?

  • bertus.spies - 2012-09-14 12:43

wow this degenerative disorder motor neuron disease is really getting to Joost!! it's "Amor and I", not "Me and Amor"

Speaking like he did on Carte Blanche.. a long chat ... couldn't have said too much. A couple of words maybe?

  • carol.paterson.923 - 2012-09-14 19:09

This is how it should be for the sake of their children.

  • trix.duvenage - 2012-09-14 19:40

I am glad this has happerend [if it is for real and not another stunt from Amore to get media attention] I want to say again what I said earlier on about this: If Amore EVER had any love for Joost, now is the time to prove it immaterial what happened when they were married. Joost needs all the love and care he CAN possibly get now and to deprive him his childrens attention [or even restrict him in any way]would simply be senseless. If Amore has any sense she should realise that giving Joost a hard time now will do her immage more harm than good.

  • adair.cross - 2012-09-14 21:30

Just keep it to yourselves now, your kids deserve at least this for the little time they have with their DAD!! No more press on this subject it is so common! Let these children enjoy happy and precious personal (not public) moments shared with so little time...tick tock tick tock....

  • Kovsie1980 - 2012-09-15 01:15

Ag is dit nou nie te dierbaar nie !!Hoop hulle tweetjies kan nou iewers gaan wegkruip sodat die pers hulle nie kan opspoor nie en ons nie verder met hulle vuilwasgoed verpes word nie.

  • will.oosthuizen - 2012-09-15 03:24

At last you are showing some maturity! Keep it up!

  • christopher.m.lowe - 2012-09-15 08:44

Can we please never hear either of their names, or their sordid little stories again? Both of them make me want to vomit with their childish antics.

  • PrettyUsefulArt - 2012-09-15 09:19

What are we meant to do now? Applaud them? Bah. It took US saying how despicable it is for them to be washing their (filthy) laundry in public for them to realise this. What's the bet?

  • niel.phillips.7 - 2012-09-15 10:24

    Yawn, YAWN......tell someone who cares

  • piet.hannibol - 2012-09-15 13:25

I would be a very happy man if this was the last time I saw the name Joost or Amsnore on the news again. Thank God!

  • marion.j.ervin - 2012-09-15 13:38

Leave Joorst alone. He is a very sick man who may not have long to live. Rather look @ his suffering than judge him. Let God be the Judge, not us. Amor is not innocent! Joost deserves peace and the right to see his children more so now than before. It is his right. Joost live in peace, you deserve it and you do not have to prove anything to anyone. SA' stand up for a rugby hero, a man who took the punch and a man who needs SA behind him. That is the sad part, Joost is no longer on the field, so why support him! Sad.. support should be without conditions.

  • Spittalsue - 2012-09-15 17:32

    Who Cares!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rita.rossouw - 2012-09-15 18:39

Dit is so 'n sinnelose vete tussen die 2 en wie is die lydende party??? Definitief nie Joost en Amor nie - die kinders word in 'n wêreld ingedruk wat te groot is vir hulle kinder-gemoedere!!!

  • pagel.trivia - 2012-09-15 21:53

Interesting - judging from the comments no-one is interested in what they do, but this article has been near the top of most read for more than a day?

  • charmaine.bradfordboy - 2012-09-16 03:02

They must get off their pedestal and stop slinging dirty laundry in public. They both thought they were the South African Beckhams. Time for both of them to get a life (privately) and not always using the media for their benefit. They are so immature and they have to stop using their kids as A Weapon against each other!!

  • wade.johnson.58726 - 2012-09-16 03:25

    Cool. Get well Joost.

  • rupert.beukes.1 - 2012-09-16 08:37

  • yolanda.seger.7 - 2012-11-23 19:48

Petro
