Justin Bieber investigated for robbery?

Los Angeles - Justin Bieber is reportedly being investigated for attempted battery and robbery.

The 20-year-old singer, who is currently on probation, allegedly lashed out when a fan started taking pictures of him on a camera phone while he was enjoying a date with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, 22, at Dave & Buster's restaurant in Los Angeles on Monday night.

A law enforcement source told gossip website that the Boyfriend hitmaker was furious when he saw the man capturing photographs and lunged at him in an attempt to take his phone to delete the images.

Justin's bodyguard held him back and he never made contact with the fan, but the alleged victim wants to press charges.

The insider said that Justin is now being investigated for a series of possible crimes, including attempted battery, attempted theft of the pictures and attempted robbery of the phone.

A spokesperson for the singer declined to comment.

Justin is on two years probation stemming from the egging of his former neighbour's house in Calabasas, California earlier this year and was also recently ordered to perform five days of community service and attend 12 weeks of anger management classes.
