Cape Town – Tobias Strebel, better known as Toby Sheldon the Justin Bieber lookalike, was found dead in a Motel 6 room, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The 35-year-old made it his life’s mission to look like the Baby hitmaker, spending up to $100k on numerous surgeries.
The Los Angeles Coroner’s office said in a statement that Strebel died at 17:00 last Friday, three days after he reportedly went missing.
An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday but cause of death has not yet been determined.
The TV personality first revealed his obsession with Justin Bieber’s looks in an episode of E! Entertainment’s Botched in 2014.
Unilad reports the appearance made Strebel an internet sensation leading him to trend on social media as well as appear on TLC’s My Strange Addiction.
He was also pursuing a musical career.
