Justin pays tribute to late 'Mrs Bieber'

Los Angeles - Justin Bieber has paid tribute to one of his greatest ever fans on what would have been her seventh birthday on Thursday.

The Never Say Never hitmaker took to his Twitter account to celebrate the life of Avalanna Routh, who had nicknamed herself "Mrs Bieber" after meeting her idol in February before tragically passing away from brain cancer on 26 September. Justin went on to wish her a "happy birthday".

In a series of tweets, he wrote: "Today would of been the 7th Birthday of Mrs.Bieber. @Avalanna you changed my life. We will all celebrate you today no matter what. love u #HAPPYBIRTHDAYAVALANNA (sic)"

Justin was left devastated after learning Avalanna had died last month, describing her as one of the "greatest spirits" he's ever known.

'Greatest spirits'

At the time, he tweeted: "Just got the worst news ever. One of the greatest spirits I have ever known is gone. Please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna."

The 18-year-old singer flew to New York to see Avalanna for an extra special Valentine's Day date in February after becoming aware of her desire to meet him thanks to a social media campaign called "Get Avalanna to Meet Justin Bieber".

He initially spent two hours playing with her and then later returned to visit her on several occasions before she passed away.

Just a few days after her death, Justin dedicated a concert to Avalanna, writing on Twitter: "Big day today. Tonight is for my angel. #mrsbieber. (sic)"
