Kardashians raise money for charity with yard sale

Los Angeles - The Kardashians raised $6 000 in a yard sale for charity.

The famous family - who have their own reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians - sold their personal belongings to help raise money for No Kid Hungry Foundation and the Greater LA Fisher house.

According to gossip website TMZ.com sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe joined their mum and manager Kris Jenner, in addition to the rest of the family, to sell old lingerie, clothing, artwork and household goods.

Fisher House supports military, veterans and their families by providing a network of homes to enable family members to be close to a loved one if they are hospitalised for a combat injury.

Tim Byk, founder and executive director of the charity, has kindly invited the Kardashians to one of the Fisher Houses after seeing the family's kind gesture.

He said: "They reached out to us, they found us. Maybe they will make it over to the house for a pizza party."

Meanwhile, No Kid Hungry Foundation is a charity which tackles child hunger in America and they campaign to provide young people with access to food all year long.
