Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy will have a white Christmas

Los Angeles - Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy are spending Christmas together.

The former couple who confirmed earlier this month they had ended their engagement after four years together are in Aspen, Colorado for the festive season.

The couple appeared on very good terms as they shopped for last-minute gifts at Boogies at the weekend, before stopping for coffee and pastries at Paradise Bakery.

One onlooker told E! News: ''They seemed very cordial. Friends are with them. Kate's brother is there too. Overall, it looks very friendly and not romantic.''

Last Christmas, the pair who have three-year-old son Bingham together spent the festive season with the Muse rocker's relatives in the UK but this year they are believed to be staying at the Fool's Gold actress' family home in the countryside.

The 35-year-old actress who also has 10-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson has previously spoken of how much she enjoys her ''traditional'' Christmases in Colorado with mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell.

She said recently: ''We always go home. I grew up in Colorado and we always go back to Colorado. The whole family comes my brothers and all of the kids and at some point during Christmas we all get together and do that.

''We're a super traditional Christmas family. Mom and I decorate the house. We make snowmen, it's kind of magical.''

Matt took to twitter to confirm the break up, earlier this month:
