Los Angeles – Katie Holmes reportedly used a disposable cellphone to organise her divorce from Tom Cruise in an effort to keep her conversations private, reports the Daily Mail.

Katie, 33, filed for divorce last month after five years of marriage to Tom, 50, and according to the Los Angeles Times, she meant to keep her divorce a secret until the announcement on 29 June.

According to the newspaper, Katie had already hired three law firms in three different states by the time they reached a divorce settlement on Monday.

Confidentiality

Katie reportedly signed a confidentiality agreement as part of their divorce settlement, with the terms said to include the actress agreeing not to speak about her estranged spouse's personal life or his religion, Scientology.

Representatives with both stars have insisted the details of their settlement will be kept under wraps, though it is believed Katie will get primary custody of their six-year-old daughter Suri, with Tom allowed visitation rights.

The welfare of the little girl was key to the pair resolving their split amicably and privately following initial speculation there would be a public court battle.
