Katy Perry: Marriage breakdown was tough

Los Angeles - Katy Perry admits her marriage breakdown was tough.

The Firework singer announced her split from husband Russell Brand in December, just 14 months after their fairytale wedding in India, and although the pop beauty was struggling over the demise of her marriage, she insisted on putting on a brave face for fans on her tour.

She told TV talk show host Graham Norton: "I love being on stage and even though I went through some pretty tough times last year I had to separate that because I know my problems are my problems and they are not the audience's problems.

"They are here to see a show and to be entertained, so I got on that lift, put a smile on my face and went up (on stage) with my titss spinning!"

Rekindled her romance

However, the 27-year-old singer appears to be recovering and has recently rekindled her romance with Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd, who she met at the Coachella music festival in April.

On Sunday, the pair enjoyed their second date night in a row after Rob accompanied Katy to ITV studios where she was filming the talk show.

They left the studios together to go to Wilton's Bar in east London and then to the Market Café in Hackney for a romantic meal.

A source said: "Rob was the first guy Katy had been with since splitting from Russell.

"She was still extremely fragile but had told pals their two weekends at Coachella together made her feel 'sexy and alive' again."
