Los Angeles - Katy Perry has locks of hair from Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus in her handbag.

The Roar singer cut the tresses from their heads as a memento to mark one of her first ever appearances at the Grammy Awards, after she shared a dressing room the pop sensations in her earlier career but looking back she admits it was a "creepy" thing to do.

The confession came during Q&A session with fans at an iHeartRadio listening party for her new album Prism, where Katy performed on Tuesday.

'I'm a freak!'

The 28-year-old beauty recalled: "One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift and I asked them for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome.

"I put little bows on them individually and put them in my purse. And that was my little secret - I'm a freak!"

During the interview and concert which was broadcast live online, Katy also said Miley is the most famous person in her phonebook, and mentioned being in love multiple times throughout the show but never referred to current boyfriend John Mayer by name.
