Cape Town – Following the attention and success from her Super Bowl half time performance, Katy Perry has made sure to stay in the spotlight some way or another.
Not only did she look good on the cover of ELLE magazine’s March issue, but she also managed to subtly diss her fellow musos.
The Dark Horse hitmaker, who is rumoured to be embroiled in a bitter feud with 24-year-old Taylor Swift, says being famous is like being on a soap opera and hinted she doesn't think the Black Space singer is so perfect in real life.
"As pop figures, we're all characters. And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain?
"Taylor's the sweetheart. Kanye's the villain. That's the narrative."
E! News went on to report that when commenting on the hardship of being a pop star, Katy hinted that she wasn't surprised Britney Spears shaved her head during her melt down in 2007.
She told ELLE magazine: "It is a hundred times harder a dream than the dream that I dreamt when I was nine... and that is why you see people shaving their fucking heads."
She did however manage to gush about what a big fan she is of Beyoncé.
She said: "Oh my God. I'm such a big Beyoncé fan. Beyoncé just put out a video! You've got to see this video! I was like, Finallllly. Finally I see you. I don't see some propaganda version of you. I see you. I relate to who you are. (sic)"
