Kendall and Kylie Jenner hit back at critics in explosive tweets

Los Angeles - Kendall and Kylie Jenner insist they are smarter than people think.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars have hit back at their critics and finally addressed rumours they allegedly used fake IDs to get into an over-21s nightclub with topless dancers in Hollywood last week.

In a lengthy rant on her Twitter page on Wednesday, budding model Kendall, 17, wrote: "I am so done with everyone making my little sister and I out to be something that we are not.

"No one has fake ID's and no one's partying.

"We're smarter than that, we have goals..."

She added: "Get over it."

Kylie, 16, also insisted she and Kendall plan to make their family proud of them by being good role models.

'Carry yourself with class and dignity'

She tweeted: "I'm sorry to disappoint, but Kendall & I will not grow up to be let downs. I know that's what some people would unfortunately like to see... but I'm not going to sit around and let grown adults create untrue stories about me underage drinking & partying every night with a fake ID.

"And to all the young girls out there just like me, carry yourself with class and dignity and don't let ANYONE determine your future."

Last week the young fashion designers, whose parents, Bruce and Kris Jenner, recently announced they had separated after 22 years of marriage, were photographed leaving the Vignette lounge, which boasts it delivers "a new, voyeuristic, hip hop and nudity nightclub experience".

The club's manager said that both girls presented IDs at the door showing them to be over 21 years old, the legal age to drink alcohol and enter a nightclub in the US.

An official for the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control said it may launch an investigation as both the girls and the club appeared to have broken the law.
