Kevin Federline leaves hospital

Los Angeles - Kevin Federline has been discharged from hospital.

The former dancer - who is the ex-husband of Britney Spears - had been rushed to a medical facility after complaining of chest pains while filming fitness TV show Excess Baggage in Australia.

While he was initially feared to have suffered a suspected cardiac arrest, doctors at Sydney's Mount Druitt Hospital have now given Kevin the "all-clear".

A statement from the Freemantle Media production company said: "Kevin Federline has been given the all-clear after spending the day in medical care. After more tests, he was released late on Monday.

"Kevin is now at home with his family and will undergo further investigation with a cardiologist today. He is expected to be back on set Friday."

Not the first time

The 33-year-old star - who has two sons, Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five, with Britney, as well as three kids from other relationships - was completing a challenge with an Australian football team when he complained of chest pains and a racing pulse on Monday.

A spokesperson said at the time: "Kevin was at Doonside with the Greater Western Sydney Giants, completing an AFL-related challenge. He did this challenge, which was running and catching the ball, then while his in-series weight-loss partner was taking the same challenge, he reported chest pains and a racing heart.

"Obviously on this show we have a lot of paramedics on standby and they treated him for the first signs of a minor cardiac arrest, called an ambulance and had him taken to hospital."

It is not the first time Kevin has had to have medical assistance - he collapsed due to heat stress in the first episode of the show.
