Kim Kardashian takes action against Perez Hilton's Kardashian Kleanse

Cape Town – Perez Hilton is on a Kardashian Kleanse – but Kim Kardashian isn't happy about any of this and has… can we even say it… decided to unfollow Perez on Twitter.

It all started when Hollywood’s gossip queen, Perez Hilton decided to start his "Special K" diet on Monday – a blackout of any news, stories and writing about the Kardashians for this week.

Perez Hilton told readers he is in need of a "Kardashian Kleanse". Kim Kardashian isn't finding the media blackout funny and decided to unfollow Perez on Twitter.

She also ran a social media poll asking if Perez Hilton’s character should be deleted from her mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

"I actually am a Kardashian fan. But I found myself at a point where I started to become sick of it. And I realised I need to do something about this. I know Kim has not been a fan of this," Perez told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.

"Cleansing and detoxing is a part of a healthy diet," says Perez.

"Once this week is over, my goal is to reintroduce them to my diet in a more balanced way. This isn’t anything new. I remember back in 2007 or 2008, the Associated Press decided to do something very similar with Paris Hilton. Although theirs was not a temporary cleanse: Theirs was a permanent ban. I don’t want that," Perez told The Hollywood Reporter.

"I remember when I first started blogging 11 years ago, it was all about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, every single day for years. And then that died down.

"There seems to truly be this collective moment in the world, or this collective consciousness moment of everybody saying, 'We need a break from the Kardashians and the Jenners,'" said Perez.
