Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian is worried Kanye West will go to prison.
The reality TV star is beginning to settle into motherhood after giving birth to the couple's first child, North, in June but is concerned her new family will be ripped apart after her rapper boyfriend was charged with battery and attempted theft last week.
The New Slaves star - who was also arrested in 2008 after smashing a paparazzo's camera - was caught on tape in the middle of a brawl in Los Angeles with a photographer, reportedly punching the man and throwing his equipment to the ground.
A source told Closer magazine: "Kim is really upset. She's been sobbing to Kanye saying she needs support with North. She's been insisting she can't cope on her own and is so worried the judge will want to make an example of the rapper, especially considering his previous outburst."
The couple are currently waiting for renovations to be completed at their £7m Bel Air mansion, but things aren't looking good for the new parents as the finishing date has been pushed back until early next year.
A friend explained: "Their home won't be ready until February and Kim's scared she'll be moving in alone. Kanye's acting very cocky, saying he's sure he'll get off but Kim's not impressed with his attitude."
