Kimora Lee Simmons back in SA

Cape Town - Reality TV star Kimora Lee Simmons is to visit South Africa this week where she will be the guest of honour at a Destiny Magazine party to celebrate her cover.

Simmons, who visited South Africa during the 2010 Soccer World Cup with her husband Djimon Honsou, is expected to arrive in Cape Town within the next few days, after she tweeted about her visit at the weekend.

"Packing for South Africa. What's the weather friends?" she posted on Twitter.

Simmons, who stars in the Style Network reality TV show Kimora: Life in The Fab Lane, will be attending a party to be hosted at the plush nightclub, ZAR, owned by businessman and self-proclaimed sushi kingpin, Kenny Kunene, in Cape Town on July 13.

According to a source, Simmons has been meaning to visit South Africa since September last year. "She's looking forward to being in SA again and can't wait to spend time with her husband here."

Another source told Channel24 that Simmons is down with Honsou, who starred in Blood Diamond alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, because Honsou is due to film a movie here soon.

"No details surrounding the movie can be confirmed at this stage, until the film company in the US releases the information," said the source.

While Simmons is scheduled to have a full itinerary in Cape Town, she is expected to draw a celebrity crowd and a huge fan following at the Destiny Magazine party at ZAR nightclub on Wednesday.

According to Destiny Magazine marketing manager, Joanne Peltz, the magazine is excited to be partnering with the reality TV star, after celebrating her on the cover.

"We're going to have a nice get-together where readers, celebrities, Kimora and her team as well as the Destiny Magazine staff can mingle and get to meet Kimora in the flesh. The fans will also be able to get their Destiny Magazine cover signed by Kimora as well as watch an episode of her reality TV show, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane.

Simmons and Honsou will also attend a Mandela Legacy event in Cape Town on July 16.
