Kris Humphries rejects $7m settlement

Los Angeles - Kris Humphries has reportedly turned down a $7m divorce settlement.

The basketball ace was left stunned when Kim Kardashian filed for divorce in October after just 72 days of marriage but he is said to be refusing to sign documents to legally end the marriage unless the socialite admits "the entire wedding was staged by her and her family".

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Kim's camp is depicting him as money-hungry, but in fact he turned down a $7m settlement. Her camp is putting out stories about 'Kim's divorce hell' hoping he'll cave in, but he won't.

"Kris wants Kim to admit to fraud, to admit the whole thing was staged for publicity, to make a public apology to him because he really wanted a marriage."

The 27-year-old sportsman is said to be angry at the way he believes Kim's friends have tried to portray him in the media.

'Kim as the victim'

The source added: "They are trying to spin Kim as the victim, but Kris isn't going to stand for it."

In his response to Kim's divorce petition, Kris filed for an annulment based on fraud and is demanding his estranged spouse reveal how much she earned during their marriage, claiming she hasn't given an honest account of the money she has made from the wedding.

However, sources close to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star insists she hasn't offered him $7m and is refusing to attack him publicly because "she just wants to move on."
