Kris and Bruce had a 'business marriage'?

Los Angeles - Kris and Bruce Jenner had a "business marriage".

The former couple, who have two daughters, Kendall, 17, and Kyle, 16, together recently confirmed that they have separated after 22 years of marriage and Pam Behan, the former Jenner nanny who lived with them for five years, claims the marriage lasted this long because they had "their own reasons" to keep it going.

She told HollywoodLife.com: "Yeah, they pretty much [led separate lives]. At the beginning, yes they were in love, but it wasn't super duper lovey-dovey.

"I do kind of think it was a business marriage and they each had their own reasons and it worked for both of them.

"Sometimes I'm surprised it lasted this long but then again they made it work. They were friends, that was really important."

Workable relationship

She alleges that the pair were initially in love however that fizzled out quickly and it became a "friendly, workable" relationship.

She added: "I don't think it's a surprise to anybody. She has a strong personality and I have to admit it took a while to get used to it. It was a very friendly, workable relationship. At first they were but it didn't seem long-lasted. That feeling, that honeymoon phase."

Kris and Bruce married after five months of dating in 1991 and Pam - who worked for the Olympic champion when he had sons Brody, 30, and Brandon, 32, with his second wife Linda Thompson before helping out with their half sisters Kendall and Kylie - thinks the former couple moved too fast.

She said: "It just happened so quickly. Whenever any marriage happens, at first you say 'are you sure? You haven't been together that long.'"

Kris has four children from her previous marriage to Robert Kardashian, including daughters 34-year-old Kourtney, 32-year-old Kim, 29-year-old Khloe, and 26-year-old son Rob. While Bruce also have two other children, Casey and Burt, from his first marriage to Chrystie Crownover.
