Los Angeles - Lady Gaga has been recovering from surgery by watching Top Gear.

The Poker Face hitmaker recently had a hip operation to repair a labral tear, and it is reported her boyfriend Taylor Kinney has turned her into a fan of the British motoring TV show.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Taylor loves his cars and has really got into the show.

''Gaga doesn't even watch TV usually but she's always loved everything British, so she loves the jokey chats that the presenters have.

''She has started to learn to drive last year, so she actually understands a bit about cars now. She and Taylor watch episodes most nights because she isn't ready to be out and about just yet.''

Taylor, 31, became hooked on the show while filming TV series Chicago Fire and introduced the pop star to the back catalogue when she became bored during her recovery.

The 27-year-old singer has used her free time to help fans too, and it was recently reported she had paid for a follower to meet her team of medical consults to help have a matching hip operation.
