Leighton Meester wants custody

Los Angeles - Leighton Meester reportedly wants her brother to live with her.

The Gossip Girl star recently took legal action against her mother Constance claiming she underwent several cosmetic procedures using money sent by the actress for her younger siblings and is now said to be so worried about her brother Lex - who recently had brain surgery and suffers from a series of medical problems - she wants him to leave California to stay in her New York home instead.

A source told RadarOnline.com: "Leighton is disgusted by her mother and is determined to get her brother Lex out of that situation.

"She wants Lex to leave their mom's California home and come to live with her in New York.

"Leighton is really close to her brother, so she just hates that she can't be there to help him more."

Leighton - who had been sending $7 500 a month to her family - is said to be tired of her mother's lifestyle and "refusal" to work.

Oral contract

Her lawsuit states: "Although [Constance] is healthy and physically able to work, Constance refuses to do so. Instead, Constance expects her daughter to support her financially."

Claiming the pair had an oral contract guaranteeing the actress would pay her mother $10 000 a month, Constance - who gave birth to Leighton while serving time in Fort Worth Prison, Texas, for her role in a drug smuggling ring - reportedly threatened to file a $3m lawsuit against the brunette beauty unless she started handing over the cash.

With the star insisting no such conversation had been had, she is now keen for a judge to declare that there was never any contract - verbal or otherwise - between the family members.
