Lena Dunham takes to Twitter to deny sexual assault claims

Los Angeles - Lena Dunham has reacted angrily to claims that she sexually assaulted her younger sister.

In an article published by right-wing blog Truth Revolt on Thursday entitled Lena Dunham Describes Sexually Abusing Her Little Sister, the writer cites a passage from the 28-year-old author's new book Not That Kind Of Girl claiming that it describes the star conducting an inappropriate act at the age of seven, on her one-year-old sister, Grace Dunham.

The excerpt reads: "Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn't resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked."

However, the Girls creator has furiously denied the accusations, branding them "disgusting".

Taking to her Twitter account on Saturday evening, she wrote:

She ended the series of messages by revealing that her sister, now aged 22, had found the whole situation to be hilarious.
