Liberty, Rupert say no to Dr. Phil

Los Angeles - Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders have declined an offer to appear on Dr. Phil.

The couple, who are in counselling and hoping to repair their nine-year marriage after the 41-year-old Snow White and the Huntsman director's affair with his 22-year-old leading lady Kristen Stewart last August, reportedly have zero interest in airing their dirty laundry on the popular chat show and want to continue to rebuild their relationship privately.

A source told US gossip website RadarOnline.com: "When Dr. Phil's producers were putting together a list of potential guests for the new season, Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders were both mentioned.

"They thought that an exclusive interview with either one of them would be a ratings winner because the cheating scandal was the hottest showbiz story of the summer."

Liberty trying to move on

"It would have been an incredible coup if they got Liberty and Rupert - but it was just something they didn't want to do at such a difficult time."

Top model and actress Liberty ,34, who shares two children Sykla, seven, and Tennyson, five, with Rupert, recently revealed she is trying to move on from her husband's "momentary indiscretion" and is excited about the next phase of her life.

"I do think that this year is kind of the end of some things and the beginning of something else. And I think that beginnings are always really exciting, and change is very important in life," she said during an interview.

"I believe that we're all on journeys, and we are all given lessons at certain times in our lives. And sometimes when things seem really bad, you have to be able to see the good and learn from it, and just move forward as graciously as possible."
