Lindsay Lohan tries to avoid police after Hilton attack

Florida - Lindsay Lohan allegedly locked herself in her hotel room to avoid talking to police.

The Mean Girls star - who has been accused by Paris Hilton's brother, Barron, of ordering a brutal attack on him at a house party in Miami, Florida in the early hours of Friday that resulted in him being hospitalised - reportedly stayed her in penthouse suit at the Shore Club hotel and refused to come out when police officers showed up to question her about the incident without a warrant.

A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "They had been partying all night, when Lindsay's current boy toy started talking to Barron about what a nightmare she is and how he wants to end things with her. Barron sympathised with him, but Lindsay overheard and was so angry he was 'talking smack' about her. She ordered her friend to beat up Barron.

Police report filed

"Barron has filed a police report naming Lindsay Lohan and his attacker, who is a friend of hers. Miami police are looking for them both. Barron's face is a mess and he has been seen by a doctor. He is the victim and is really shaken up."

Lindsay was seen checking out of the hotel on Saturday afternoon "in a hurry" despite another partying goer supporting her claims that she had nothing to do with the assault.

The insider said: "The guy was not asked to punch Barron by Lindsay ... Barron had got in his face."

Law enforcement sources also told gossip website TMZ.com that they have identified the man who hit Barron and are eager to hear his side of the story.

They attempted to interview him at the scene of the crime on Saturday but nobody was home.
