Lindsay fails to appear for deposition

Los Angeles - Lindsay Lohan failed to appear for a deposition on Monday morning.

The troubled actress had been ordered to appear at a hearing in Los Angeles as part of her ongoing court battle with photographer Grigor Balyan - who claims he ended up in hospital after he was hit by the Liz & Dick star's assistant, when she was driving the actress' car outside a nightclub in 2010 - but missed the meeting.

According to TMZ, Lindsay's attorney Julia Azrael tried to let Grigor's lawyer's know last week she hadn't been able to get in touch with her client, but the deposition wasn't rescheduled.

Failing to keep in contact

The photographer's lawyers are now expected to file papers asking for a judge to force the 26-year-old star to show up to the next meeting. If she fails to comply, the judge could issue a judgement against her and order Lindsay to pay compensation.

In February, Azrael spoke out to slam her famous client for failing to keep in contact and arrange a date for the deposition.

Lindsay has just weeks to arrange her personal matters before she has to enrol into a residential rehab programme for 90 days, under the terms of a plea deal she reached recently over a car crash last June.
