Loki actor swops magical powers for sword play

London - Tom Hiddleston looks just as sexy being a general as he did a god.

The Thor actor has been in rehearsals for the Donmar Warehouse's upcoming reprisal of William Shakespeare's Coriolanus, a play based on the downfall of Roman general Caius Marcius who was exiled from Rome and plotted his revenge with a former enemy.

Twitpics of rehearsals

Director of the play Josie Rourke tweeted some shots of Tom and stage actor Bradley Fraser practicing their sword fight:
According to BroadwayWorld.com, the play will run from 6 December to 8 February, and on 30 January the play will be broadcasted live as part of National Theatre Live, an initiative that brings the best of British theater to the world.

Tom has had much experience with Shakespeare, having played in Othello, Cymbeline, Henry IV and Henry V.
