Magazine says Miley’s comments about Beyoncé were ‘made up’

Los Angeles – Controversy surrounds a recent article published by Love magazine in which they supposedly claimed that Miley Cyrus was determined to knock queen of pop Beyoncé off her throne.

The article allegedly claimed that the Wrecking Ball singer thought that Beyoncé was “out of touch with modern music”.

The magazine reportedly quoted Miley as saying; "Beyoncé has been a big inspiration to me but she's been out for such a long time. She's so talented and I think she's at the top of the game now but people are always looking for new blood and that's what I bring to the game now, new blood, I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I'm just the best."

But according to the magazine they never published the alleged quotes and added that Miley did not say anything bad about Beyoncé.

Shortly after the quotes, that were allegedly published in the article, hit the internet it sparked controversy prompting the magazine to publish two tweets in which they revealed that the quotes were “made up” and that they were “trying to get to the bottom” of where the quotes came from.

In a second tweet the magazine simply stated; “WE ALL LOVE BEYONCE.(sic)

Miley also took to Twitter to put the record straight saying; “That quote people MADE UP about Beyonce just made me lol! Imagine if I said I got "the looks and the curves I'm just better!" Bahahahhaha.(sic)”

She also added; “don't worry. getting 2 the bottom of this shit. making the liar retract the statement. U can cause ALOT of drama but NOT between me & B!”.
According to an article published by Complex.com Love Magazine's Editor-in-Chief Katie Grand's publicist revealed  that the original source of the story was the Hollywood Life blog, who have since deleted their story "in light of the fact it does not relate to the upcoming issue of Love." They have replaced it with one about Miley's follow-up tweets denying the quotes.

The magazine published this cover on their Facebook page:
