Johannesburg - Nelson Mandela's granddaughter Zoleka Seakamela, who gave birth to a baby boy last week, has lost her newborn son, according to 7de Laan's publicity department.
Seakamela and 7de Laan star Sekoati Tsubane welcomed their first child together on June 23, although the baby, named Zenawe, was born three months premature.
"It is with great regret that we report the passing of Sekoati and Zoleka’s baby boy at the weekend. Little Zenawe was born three months prematurely and died from related complications,” read a statement issued by the SABC2 soapie.
Seakamela, the eldest daughter of Zindzi Mandela, lost her 13-year-old daughter Zenani last year, after she was involved in a car accident on her way back from the World Cup concert that took place at Orlando Stadium on June 10 2010.
On Sunday City Press reported on the birth, congratulating the couple, but the sad news was revealed on Monday through the actor's publicists.
