Mariah Carey is focused on Asian tour

Los Angeles - Mariah Carey is focusing on her current tour following her split from Nick Cannon.

The Beautiful hitmaker, whose husband announced that "there is trouble in paradise" and they have been "living in separate houses for a few months", is distracting herself from their marriage woes by throwing herself into her work and looking after their three-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

A spokesperson for the 44-year-old singer told UsMagazine.com: "I don't comment on Mariah's personal life, but Mariah is focusing on her children and her tour."

Mariah kicked off her Asian concert series in Tokyo, Japan at the weekend and will perform 11 shows before wrapping up the tour in Manila in the Philippines on 28 October.

Meanwhile, insiders on the set of America's Got Talent have revealed that host Nick, 33, has been struggling to maintain his "happy-go-lucky" personality in recent months.

One source said: "He's more closed off this season."

Another added: "He never talks about Mariah, and she has never been to set in all the seasons he has hosted."

The former couple tied the knot just one month after they met on the set of Mariah's Bye-Bye music video in Antigua in 2008.

Friends of Mariah and Nick, who put their New York mansion up for sale in June, believe their six-year marriage began to break-down after the TV presenter revealed that he'd previously slept with five famous women, including Kim Kardashian, during an appearance on a US radio show in March.
