Matthew Fox a woman beater, says co-star

Los Angeles - The bus driver who accused Matthew Fox of punching her has dropped her case.

Heather Bormann had accused the Lost star of punching her after he drunkenly tried to get onto her vehicle and demanded she drove him to his hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, last year.

However, she had now ended her lawsuit, with the actor not having to pay any settlement. Her lawyer, J Norman Stark, added to website TMZ he had also dropped Bormann as a client recently because she was difficult to deal with.

Charged with DUI

Heather's original lawsuit had claimed: "Suddenly and without provocation, Fox attacked plaintiff with his fists, delivering sudden and severe blows to her right breast, groin, arm and legs, inflicting severe, disabling injury and pain to plaintiff."

Matthew - who is married to Margherita Ronchi, with whom he has two children, daughter Kyle and son Byron - has also dropped his countersuit against Heather, which he had filed claiming defamation.

The court dismissal comes in the same week as Matthew was accused by former Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan of "beating women".

In a series of tweets, Dominic had said he was not interested in being friends with Matthew because "he beats women.not isolated incidents. often. not interested (sic)."

Matthew vehemently denies Dominic's claims, and friends said they were baffled why he would launch such an attack as, the two haven't spoken for years.

However, the 45-year-old's legal troubles are not over yet, as he was was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and driving without a licence in Oregon earlier this month, after being pulled over by police for driving erratically.

His arraignment hearing is set for 7 June.
