Michelle Williams 'taking time out'

Los Angeles - Michelle Williams is taking time out from her acting career to focus on being a mother.

The My Week With Marilyn star - who has a six-year-old daughter Matilda with late actor Heath Ledger - admitted she has "absolutely nothing" planned for the next few months and is keen to "go back to being a mom".

When asked what projects she is currently working on, Michelle told E! host Giuliana Rancic: "Absolutely nothing. I hope to take some time off, I just want to go back to being a mom for a while."

The 31-year-old actress won the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture for her portrayal of tragic screen icon Monroe in the critically acclaimed movie.

Relationships

Michelle has previously admitted she put pressure on herself to find a serious relationship soon after Heath died in January 2008 because she wanted Matilda to have a brother or sister close to her in age.

Michelle recently said: "Because I really wanted, and I really expected or imagined, that Matilda would have siblings that were close to her age. I wanted that for her. But I couldn't make that happen.

"And now that she's six that isn't even a possibility anymore. So something that was making me feel impatient, that's been removed. For whatever reason, that's not our luck, or our path."

However, the blonde beauty thinks her daughter could find life tough in the future as she will have few memories of her father, who passed away from an accidental drug overdose.

She said: "You know, as hard as certain things have been for me, it's been harder thinking about how things will be for her. I have a lot of things that she doesn't, and some of what I have I can give to her - the memories that I have, the objects that I have, the physical reminders that I have, the stories."
