Mika comes out as gay

2012-08-07 17:50
Los Angeles - Mika has revealed he is gay.

While his sexuality has been the subject of speculation for years, Mika has finally admitted he is homosexual and says the songs on his new album The Origin of Love are inspired by his love affairs with men.

He told gay publication Instinct Magazine: "If you ask me am I gay, I say yeah. Are these songs about my relationship with a man? I say yeah.

"And it's only through my music that I've found the strength to come to terms with my sexuality beyond the context of just my lyrics. This is my real life."

'I'm not picky'

In an interview three years ago, the 28-year-old pop star claimed he hates to put a label on himself but admitted he was bisexual.

He said: "I've never ever labelled myself. But having said that, I've never limited my life. I've never limited who I sleep with ... Call me whatever you want. Call me bisexual, if you need a term for me."

He later added: "I consider myself label-less because I could fall in love with anybody - literally - any type, any body. I'm not picky."

Who frigging cares, why do gays always make such a big deal of who they sleep with. As for his noise that he calls music, well he can keep it to himself and whoever he sleeps with too. It's absolute crap.

i hope you feel as passionate about gay sex in songs as you do about straight artists who sing about sex also nearlt alllllll the time.

Hi Joe. If the predominantly straight public stopped pestering celebrities about their sexuality, then maybe you wouldn't have to hear about it all the time. The news companies know what you search for and on which links you click (like this article) and they will keep on publishing these articles for as long as you have an interest in the sex lives of famous people. I always find it funny that some people take the time to click on links to articles that they find uninteresting.

As opposed to the countless straights that flaunt their sexuality and "accidentally" release sex tapes?

  • sarah.j.long1 - 2012-08-07 21:35

    Wow that was a shocker

  • MarkSchrade1980 - 2012-08-08 07:51

But I thought he was Bisexual I mean There's a HUGE difference between Gay/Lesbo and Bi... Gosh, Whatever,I thought I'm putting you as my other Bi idol But,screw that, gonna stick to Billie Joe Armstrong,Marlon Brando,James Dean,Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. (Sighs). But it's your free life anyway, but still, you need a woman for reproducing and getting children of your own,and be a father,I mean, that's an essential part of each one's live,so I don't see the point of limiting yourself. Still,I will always support you and listen to your music. Good luck! Peace xx
