London - Mike Tindall was partying with his ex-girlfriend Jessica Palmer when he was seen on CCTV camera in a New Zealand bar.
The rugby player – who is married to Britain's Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter Zara Phillips – was spotted with the 29-year-old blonde, who attended their wedding in July, while in the country for the World Cup, and Jessica is said to be upset about the furore surrounding the grainy black and white images.
Her grandmother Joan Turton told Britain's Daily Mail: "She is very upset about it. It's making a mountain out of a molehill. They used to see each other years ago and they are now friends. It is totally innocent.
"They are nice people, but some people see these things and get upset."
Recollection 'incorrect'
The couple are said to have dated for around a year, and she was Mike's last significant girlfriend before he met and later married Zara.
Despite originally denying going on from Altitude bar to another establishment Cowboys with Jessica, Mike recently admitted his "recollection was incorrect".
His PR company said: "Mike Tindall gave his PR consultants and the Rugby Football Union his assurance that he had not attended the Cowboys bar, having left the Altitude bar. In good faith, his PR consultants, the RFU and the RFU's solicitors relied upon that assurance when dealing with last week's story.
"However, Mike now accepts that his recollection was incorrect."
