Miley Cyrus' engagement ring 'being fixed'

Los Angeles - Miley Cyrus hasn't been wearing her engagement ring because it is being repaired.

The 20-year-old singer and fiance Liam Hemsworth, 23, have been the subject of speculation about the state of their relationship following reports he cheated on her with January Jones, before fleeing home to Australia and while Miley has been spotted without her ring, she claims it is simply being fixed.

After one of her back up singers, Lindsey J. Lee tweeted: "had to send off my engagement ring today to get fixed... one of the little diamonds fell out... I feel naked without it, so sad (sic)," Miley revealed she was having similar issues.

She wrote back: "ugh that's the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off (sic)."

'A super jealous girl'

While friends say the couple are having issues, Miley is determined to do whatever she can to win Liam back.

"Miley is super independent, which Liam loves about her, but at the same time she's an insecure girl who's terrified of losing him and will do whatever it takes to make their relationship work," a source previously said.

"Miley can be a super jealous girl and feels like she probably pushed Liam away. And even though she doesn't really want to tame her wild ways, if she wants to keep Liam she's going to have to. Either that, or she'll completely rebel because she's hurt and act out even more.

"On the outside Miley likes to appear like she's bad-ass and nothing bothers her, but on the inside she wants to be loved and doesn't think she could ever snag another guy as amazing as Liam."
