Los Angeles - Miley Cyrus has become a victim of swatting for the second time.

Armed police arrived at the home of the 20-year-old singer in Studio City, Los Angeles on Friday, after receiving a call claiming a crime was underway at the property.

Miley - who was also "swatted" in August 2012 - was not at home at the time of the incident, according to TMZ.

The Can't Be Tamed singer is not the only celebrity to have fallen victim to the prank. Last month police received a call claiming two armed men were arguing at Rihanna's Pacific Palisades home and someone had been shot.

Other victims

The incident came just one day after more than a dozen police cars and two helicopters swarmed Diddy's Los Angeles home following a hoax phone call informing them that someone had been shot inside the property.

Comedian and actor Steve Carell's home was also secured as it is located next door to Diddy's, whose real name is Sean Combs.

Upon searching the mansion, officers found no evidence of criminal activity or a shooter.

Other victims also include Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and the Kardashian family.
