Nick Lachey thrown out of football game

Los Angeles - Nick Lachey has been accused of choking a football fan and calling the man's wife a "bitch".

The 98 Degrees singer was kicked out of a football game at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego on Sunday for trash-talking, but TMZ have footage of Nick, 39, apparently taking things a step further.

A San Diego Chargers fan told TMZ that Nick - a fan of rival team Cincinnati Bengals - was making negative comments throughout the second half of the game about former Chargers player Igor Olshansky, prompting the man's wife to retort: "Well, he lasted longer than your boy band."

Nick reportedly lost his temper and as well as calling her a "fucking bitch" he shouted a host of other profanities before lashing out and shoving the man to the ground and grabbing his neck.

Misrepresentation

However, Nick's spokesperson insists the fan's account is a "gross misrepresentation" of what actually happened.

He said: "This is a gross misrepresentation of what happened. It was nothing but a spirited debate between fans of opposing teams. At no point did Nick say anything derogatory to the man's wife and anything to suggest the contrary is simply untrue."

Nick took to Twitter after the incident and shared how "proud" he is of being kicked out, posing: "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals (sic)."

After his team won, Nick wrote: "Bengals win again. i'd talk trash to everyone in SD, but what's the point? you already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost (sic)."
